Preparation
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey, and brown sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, and bring to a low boil for about 5 minutes.
- To thicken the sauce, mix corn starch with cold water until fully dissolved. Gradually pour into the sauce while stirring. Return to heat, stirring until thickened for about 2-3 minutes.
- In a large wok, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add diced onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Add ground turkey, breaking it apart. Cook for 5-7 minutes until no longer pink.
- Stir in broccoli florets and shredded carrots, cooking for 4-5 minutes until tender.
- Reduce heat to low and pour in the teriyaki sauce. Stir to coat and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve over rice or quinoa and garnish with sesame seeds or green onions.
