Cooking Steps
- Heat a dry skillet over medium heat and sauté sliced mushrooms for 5–7 minutes until golden brown.
- Layer sautéed mushrooms on a slice of bread, top with Swiss cheese, and add any optional toppings.
- Spread butter on the outside of the sandwich, cook in the skillet for 3–4 minutes until golden, then flip and cook the other side until crisp.
- Remove from skillet, let rest for a minute before slicing, and serve with sides.
