  2. In a large skillet, combine unsalted butter and olive oil over medium heat until melted and foamy, which takes about 2 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Carefully place the seasoned cod fillets skin-side down into the skillet. Cook undisturbed for about 4-5 minutes, or until the skin turns golden brown.
  4. Gently flip the cod fillets and pour in fresh lemon juice around the fillets. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cod flakes easily with a fork.
