Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the active dry yeast with half of the warm water (110°F) and a pinch of sugar. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the sliced unsalted butter, the remaining warm water, granulated sugar, and kosher salt. Then add the egg yolk and the yeast mixture, stirring gently. Gradually incorporate all-purpose flour until just combined.
- Brush a 9×13 baking dish with melted butter, then spread the dough evenly. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- After resting, brush the remaining melted butter over the dough. Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan, then add garlic salt and oregano.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F for 28-31 minutes until cheese bubbles and crust is golden brown.
- Let cool for about 10 minutes before cutting into strips and serve warm with marinara sauce.

Notes
For extra crispiness, brush the dough with butter before baking and add a sprinkle of parmesan on top before the oven.
