Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pour 1 cup of marinara sauce into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine lean ground beef, Italian sausage, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, Italian breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, salt, and ground black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  4. Form the mixture into about 9 evenly sized meatballs and place them in the baking dish over the marinara sauce.
  5. Cover the meatballs with the remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
