  • 1 cup Buttermilk tenderizes shrimp
For the Coating
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour can substitute with self-rising flour
  • 1 tsp Paprika adds smoky flavor
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Onion Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black Pepper
  • 0.25 tsp Cayenne Pepper adjust to preference
For Frying
  • 2 inches Vegetable Oil for frying
For Drizzling
  • 0.5 cup Hot Honey elevates flavor
For Garnish
  • Chopped Parsley for garnish

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for 15 minutes at room temperature.
  2. Prepare the coating by whisking together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Dredge each shrimp in the seasoned flour mixture after marinating.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pot to 350°F.
  5. Fry the shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Drizzle hot honey over the shrimp immediately after frying.
