  • 1/2 cup Rolled Oats Optional.
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar Granulated sugar is a suitable alternative.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 cups Fresh Blueberries Frozen can be used without thawing.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8 inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press into the baking pan and bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla extract; stir in sour cream until fully incorporated.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust. Sprinkle fresh blueberries on top.
  5. Mix together flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly, then sprinkle over the blueberries.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes until edges are golden brown and center is slightly set.
  7. Cool for at least 2 hours at room temperature, then chill in the refrigerator until firm before cutting into squares.

Notes
