Method
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, mayonnaise, honey, and hot sauce. Stir until well blended.
- Add the chopped celery, red onion, sweet pickle relish, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans for added crunch.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate the chicken salad for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve the chicken salad over a bed of mixed greens or lettuce.
