Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 green onions chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Method

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) until well combined.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the salmon. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator for best flavor.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it in the air fryer basket, skin side down. Reserve the marinade for later use.
  5. Cook the salmon in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. While the salmon is cooking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan and bring it to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Once the salmon is done, drizzle the thickened marinade over the top and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
