Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions and bake for 30-35 minutes. Allow to cool and cut into cubes.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk for about 2 minutes until thickened. Fold in half of the Cool Whip.
  3. Layer half of the chocolate cake cubes on the bottom of a trifle dish. Add half of the crushed Oreos and half of the pudding mixture. Repeat the layers ending with pudding.
  4. Spread the remaining Cool Whip on top. Drizzle syrup in a spider web design and place a plastic spider on top.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Scoop out layers or serve in individual cups.
