- Lay out two slices of sourdough bread on a clean cutting board.
- Sprinkle half of the grated dill Havarti cheese evenly over one slice of bread.
- Layer the chopped and patted dry dill pickles evenly on top of the cheese.
- Top the pickles with the remaining grated dill Havarti cheese and place the second slice of bread on top.
- Generously butter the outer sides of both bread slices with salted butter.
- Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat.
- Place the buttered sandwich in the heated skillet and let it cook for about 3–4 minutes on one side.
- Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for another 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
- Once cooked, you can open the sandwich and add dill pickle flavored potato chips inside.
- Carefully slice the sandwich in half and serve immediately while warm.
