- In a small saucepan over low heat, whisk together 2 cups of half & half, 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree, 1/4 cup of molasses, 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk, 2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Continue to heat the mixture on low until it begins to lightly simmer, approximately 5 minutes.
- Once simmering, remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes.
- To ensure a smooth finish, line a fine mesh strainer with cheesecloth and pour the cooled mixture through it into a large bowl or pitcher.
- Transfer the strained liquid into a sealable container and refrigerate.
