Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 blend
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 hamburger buns
  • Pickles lettuce, and tomato for toppings (optional)

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ranch seasoning mix, and onion soup mix. Mix until well combined, but do not overwork the meat.
  2. Form the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cover to melt the cheese.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce to create the special sauce.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the burgers by spreading the special sauce on the bottom bun, adding the cheese-topped patty, and topping with pickles, lettuce, and tomato if desired. Place the top bun on and serve immediately.

Notes
