  • 2 14.5-ounce cans green beans, drained
  • 1 10.5-ounce can cream of mushroom soup
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 ½ cups French fried onions divided
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, and 1 cup of French fried onions. If using, add the shredded cheddar cheese and mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a 1.5-quart baking dish and spread it evenly. Top with the remaining ½ cup of French fried onions.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly. For a crispy topping, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
