Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounces fresh strawberries hulled and dried
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil optional
  • Sprinkles or crushed nuts optional for decoration

Method
 

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  3. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the dipped strawberry on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. If desired, sprinkle the chocolate-covered strawberries with sprinkles or crushed nuts before the chocolate sets.
  5. Once all strawberries are dipped, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate is firm.
