- Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Butter the outer sides of two slices of crusty or thick-cut bread.
- Spread marinara sauce on the inner sides of both buttered slices.
- Layer half the mozzarella cheese on one slice, then add the thawed chicken patty and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
- Add the remaining mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken patty.
- Assemble the sandwich with the other slice of bread on top, sauce side down.
- Cook the sandwich in the air fryer for 5 minutes.
- Flip the sandwich and cook for another 5 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Slice the sandwich in half and serve immediately with extra marinara sauce.
