Description

Spaghetti Garlic Bread Bowls are a delicious and creative way to enjoy spaghetti served in crispy bread bowls, perfect for a fun meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large loaves of Italian bread
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Cut the tops off the Italian bread loaves and hollow out the insides, leaving about a 1-inch thick shell. Set aside the bread insides for later use.
  3. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  4. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, along with the salt, black pepper, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Toss to combine and heat through for about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Spoon the spaghetti mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowls, packing it in gently.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top of the filled bread bowls.
  8. Place the filled bread bowls on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted.
  9. Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • For a cheesy twist, add shredded mozzarella cheese on top before baking.
  • Substitute whole wheat spaghetti for a healthier option or use gluten-free pasta if needed.
