Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place them in the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, thyme, rosemary, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour this mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- If you prefer a thicker gravy, mix the cornstarch with water in a small bowl until smooth. Stir this mixture into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Once done, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it with the gravy before serving.
Notes
- For a creamier gravy, add a splash of heavy cream or sour cream just before serving.
- You can substitute the cream of chicken soup with cream of mushroom soup for a different flavor.
