Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning mix
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, and ranch seasoning.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Once the chicken is done, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth.
  7. Stir this mixture into the gravy in the slow cooker and cook on high for an additional 15-20 minutes until the gravy thickens.
  8. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
  9. Serve the chicken and gravy over rice, mashed potatoes, or egg noodles.
