- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled sausage until evenly distributed throughout the dry ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the muffins are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the dry ingredients.
- You can also substitute the sausage with cooked bacon or diced ham for a different flavor.
