Description
Korean Beef Stir-Fry is a quick and flavorful dish perfect for weeknight dinners, featuring ground beef and a variety of vegetables in a savory sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Cooked rice (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using). Pour this mixture over the cooked beef and stir well to combine.
- Add the broccoli and bell peppers to the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Stir in the chopped green onions and cook for another minute.
- Serve the Korean beef stir-fry over cooked rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Notes
- For a lower-carb option, serve the stir-fry over cauliflower rice instead of regular rice.
- Add other vegetables like snap peas, carrots, or mushrooms for extra flavor and nutrition.
