Description
Delicious and crispy chicken tenders drizzled with a sweet and spicy hot honey sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs.
- In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
- Dip each chicken tender first into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- In a large skillet, heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully add the chicken tenders in batches, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the chicken is frying, mix honey and hot sauce in a small saucepan over low heat until combined.
- Once the chicken tenders are cooked, remove them from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Drizzle the hot honey mixture over the chicken tenders before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add more hot sauce to the honey mixture.
- You can also bake the chicken tenders at 400°F for 20-25 minutes instead of frying for a healthier option.
- Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
