Description

Honey Hot Chicken Salad is a delicious, zesty treat that combines shredded chicken with a sweet and spicy dressing, perfect for a refreshing meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup sweet pickle relish
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup mixed greens or lettuce, for serving
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, mayonnaise, honey, and hot sauce. Stir until well blended.
  2. Add the chopped celery, red onion, sweet pickle relish, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  3. If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans for added crunch.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the chicken salad for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve the chicken salad over a bed of mixed greens or lettuce.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for half of the mayonnaise.
  • Add diced avocado or sliced grapes for a fresh twist on the flavor and texture.
