Description
A delicious and easy recipe for Honey Garlic Air Fryer Salmon that is packed with flavor and perfect for a quick meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) until well combined.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the salmon. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator for best flavor.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it in the air fryer basket, skin side down. Reserve the marinade for later use.
- Cook the salmon in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- While the salmon is cooking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan and bring it to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Once the salmon is done, drizzle the thickened marinade over the top and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a teaspoon of sriracha to the marinade.
- Serve the salmon over a bed of rice or quinoa for a complete meal, and add steamed vegetables on the side for extra nutrition.
