Description
Honey Dijon Baked Chicken is a flavorful dish featuring tender chicken thighs coated in a sweet and tangy honey Dijon sauce, baked to perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Place the chicken thighs in a large baking dish, skin side up. Pour the honey Dijon mixture over the chicken, making sure to coat each piece evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the skin is golden brown.
- For extra crispiness, broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end of cooking. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the honey Dijon mixture.
- Substitute chicken breasts for thighs if you prefer a leaner option, adjusting the cooking time to about 25-30 minutes.
