  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the shredded chicken, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine and cook for about 5 minutes, until heated through.
  2. While the chicken is warming, warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave until pliable.
  3. To assemble the tacos, place a generous scoop of the chicken mixture in the center of each tortilla.
  4. Top each taco with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and a dollop of sour cream.
  5. Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired and serve with lime wedges on the side.
