Description
Crispy Oven-Baked Buffalo Wings are a delicious and healthier alternative to fried wings, perfect for game day or any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack, ensuring they are not touching each other.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
- While the wings are baking, prepare the buffalo sauce by whisking together the hot sauce, melted butter, and honey in a small bowl.
- Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and toss them in the buffalo sauce until well coated.
- Serve immediately with celery sticks and your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, let the wings dry in the refrigerator for a few hours before baking.
- Try different sauces like BBQ or teriyaki for a unique flavor twist.
