- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred for extra crunch)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated.
- In a separate bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese together.
- Dredge each shrimp in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the coating.
- Place the coated shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Cook the shrimp for 6-8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the shrimp from the air fryer and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
- For a gluten-free option, substitute regular breadcrumbs with gluten-free breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes.
- Add your favorite spices or herbs to the breadcrumb mixture, such as Italian seasoning or chili powder, for a different flavor profile.
