Description
A simple and delicious recipe for chocolate-covered strawberries, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 16 ounces fresh strawberries, hulled and dried
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)
- Sprinkles or crushed nuts (optional for decoration)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the dipped strawberry on the prepared baking sheet.
- If desired, sprinkle the chocolate-covered strawberries with sprinkles or crushed nuts before the chocolate sets.
- Once all strawberries are dipped, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate is firm.
Notes
- For a different flavor, try using white chocolate or dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet.
- Add a pinch of sea salt on top of the chocolate before it sets for a sweet and salty contrast.
