Description

A delicious and refreshing twist on traditional pasta salad, combining the flavors of Caprese and Caesar dressing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces rotini pasta
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella balls, halved
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooled pasta, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and chopped romaine lettuce.
  3. Drizzle the Caesar dressing and olive oil over the salad mixture. Toss gently to combine.
  4. Add the chopped basil and grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then toss again to mix well.
  5. Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For added protein, consider adding grilled chicken or shrimp to the salad.
  • Substitute the Caesar dressing with a balsamic vinaigrette for a different flavor profile.
