- 1 head of cauliflower, cut into 1-inch thick steaks (about 4–6 steaks)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup buffalo sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- Dip each cauliflower steak into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the cauliflower steaks.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and brush each steak generously with buffalo sauce.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add extra hot sauce to the batter or buffalo sauce.
- Serve with a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
