Description
A quick and tasty Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry recipe that is perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Add the garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, beef broth, sugar, and black pepper. Pour this sauce over the broccoli and stir well.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss everything together until the beef is heated through and the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve the beef and broccoli stir-fry over cooked rice.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or sliced jalapeños during the stir-fry.
- You can substitute the flank steak with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
